Entertaining audiences from concert halls to coffeehouses, festivals and listening rooms, Mojo Stu performs his unique, intense and friendly solo-acoustic music. Mojo Stu has shared the stage with Blues and Music luminaries; Robert Cray, Dr. John, Leon Russell, Johny Winter, Kenny Neal, Maria Muldaur, John Hammond, Big Bill Morganfield (son of Muddy Water), Kelly Joe Phelps, Otis Taylor, Alvin Youngblood Hart, Johny Neal (Allman Bros), and others.
As a feature performer on QVC Channel, Mojo Stu received the highest ratings of any performer on their 'Jammin in the Kitchen' show, featured on FOX News, WXTU 92.5 Morning Show, and created the Blues Expression radio show WPEB 98.1 FM (Phila, PA) with co-host Lonnie Shields.
MTV, A&E Network, Discovery Channel, TLC Network, QVC Channel, and Dave Matthew's (VH1 biography 'Driven') have all licensed Mojo Stu's music for their productions, testament to his market cross-over ability. Mojo Stu was handpicked to be one of three U.S. artists (along with Anita Baker and Peter Cincotti) to launch new music website AOLmusic.com in the Blues/Jazz genre, and has also been a featured artist on web powerhouse Broadjam.com
Mojo Stu's new release 'Wild About My Baby' travels across a hundred years of Blues, Roots, and American tradition to create a journey of organic new music created on a solid foundation or multi-genre influences and expression. Mojo's solo presence is undeniably stated in 3 of the CD's songs, the other tracks being recorded with the other members of Mojo Stu Trio; Flourtown Fats on Bass and Doug Masters on Drums. The entire recording was cut 'live' at Media Music Studio and co-produced with Jamie Brown who also wore the engineer's chapeau.
Mojo Stu's 'Real House Blues' channels decades of Blues music through grooves and beats so down to earth they could grow cotton on concrete. 'Got A Love' (RHB's 2nd song) was included on WXPN 88.5 FM (Phila, PA) compilation 'Philly Local, Right On Track' initially sent to 5,00 station subscribers and now available in stores. Also, has appeared on WXPN's radio show Leight Lunch with Helen Leight, and performed for station events both on-air and off. REAL House Blues is currently featured on worldwide radio shows and has charted in the Top 20 of the Roots Music Report.
Mojo Stu's love of the Blues is evident in previous releases 'Good Gravy' and 'Not for Nothin' (Mudbone Records) both releases received international critical acclaim. National reso Phonic Guitar Co. endorses Mojo Stu, who contributes to their annual audio-catalog, which features artists and resonator guitars and ukuleles. 'Artists in Resonance' is available online and annually at the NAMM Show.
Mojo Stu donates his performance services to Musicians On Call, a charity sponsored by WXPN that hosts musicians to play in hospital at patient bedsides, and has created the Peace, Love, and Sunshine Foundation dedicated to raising funds and awareness to worthy causes. Proceeds from sales of Mojo Stu's music benefit these organizations.
People often wonder how such true, down-home blues can come from a yankee suburbanite. Mojo Stu certainly plays and sings with all the passion and conviction of the Blues greats. Undeniably contemporary, blending striking original material with traditional presentation, masterful slide guitar and deft fingerpicking all make Mojo Stu one of the premier gut-grabbing, footstomping, 'retro-revivalists' in the new generation of Blues artists.

We're comitted to NOT rehearsing for any of these shows... not because we don't take pride in our craft or care about the audience experience, but we subscribe to the Marlon Brando style of performance... he will not learn lines nor even look at a script because he believes his reactions to his interplay with supporting characters is more genuine when he reacts insteads of acts... in other words, we're lazy bastards just like the godfather.
And, due to the number of complaints we've received regarding volume levels being excessive we'll just keep cranking it up 'till the people that don't like us leave and make room for more good folks like you!!!
